About The Job
Let’s Play are looking for an individual to deliver sports activities for our Community project in Sheffield. This exciting project, in collaboration with Sheffield City Council, involves going to 10 of Sheffield’s local communities each week to engage children in sports and activities.
Armed with Let’s Play’s breadth of equipment and activity resources, you will visit two local parks and deliver sporting activities to the local children each day from 11am until 6pm every day (Mon-Fri).

Our expertise in empowering children through play have led to this exciting opportunity to deliver our sessions across Sheffield.
Essential Requirements
- Tonnes of passion and energy for engaging children in play.
- Experience delivering activities in a childcare or community setting.
- A loud and captivating personality to draw the kids into our sessions.
- Demonstration of willingness to develop skills and general practice.
- Punctuality, reliability, and commitment.
- Experience working with primary-aged children.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to interact well with staff, parents/carers, and children.
Preferred Requirements
- Clean UK driver’s license (strongly desirable).
- Completed appropriate courses at sixth form, college, or university.
- Knowledge of Sheffield’s local communities and demographics.
Responsibilities For This Role
- Manage and motivate your team, to ensure they are delivering the programme to a high standard.
- Consistently deliver sessions to a very high standard regardless of outside factors.
- Liaise with the staffing team and management on a regular basis.
- Create a positive learning environment for the children in our care.
- Follow our coaching philosophy, ensuring everything we deliver is Fun, Inclusive & Educational.
- To understand the individual needs of the staff and children in our care and challenge/engage them appropriately.
- Deal with any first aid/emergency situation.
- Ensure every session is delivered to the best of your ability.
- Be creative and passionate in your delivery.
