Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-driven Testing & Inspection Electrician to join their growing team, delivering high-quality electrical compliance services across London and occasionally throughout the UK. The Role

Working predominantly across London, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical inspection, testing, and reporting duties across a variety of domestic, commercial, and light industrial properties. You’ll play a key role in ensuring installations meet current regulations and safety standards, while maintaining a high level of professionalism when representing the business on client sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
  • Perform inspection and testing on electrical systems and circuits
  • Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently and safely
  • Complete accurate certification and compliance documentation
  • Carry out Periodic Inspections in line with current legislation
  • Undertake PAT testing where required
  • Liaise with clients and provide technical guidance on remedial works
  • Travel occasionally to sites across the UK (fully expensed)

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
  • Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights and Manual Handling certs
  • Proven experience in testing and inspection roles
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities

Desirable

  • Experience across in commercial environments
  • Previous experience completing high volumes of EICRs
  • PAT Testing qualification
