Company Overview: An expanding, international forensic investigations consultancy, highly regarded for their built environment expertise. Their civil and structural engineers investigate and determine the root cause of civil engineering and structural failures within the highways, rail, development infrastructure, building, industrial and energy sectors. Their findings are regularly used to settle litigation cases and as a catalyst to improve existing design and construction methods. Your role: Using your background in highways maintenance, you will investigate a range of faults and failures affecting roads and highways, and associated infrastructure. Site-based forensic investigations are typically once per week but intervals can vary. You will use your lateral thinking skills combined with your industry background to determine the root cause of problems and what is to blame. Extensive technical backup is on hand from in-house civil, geotechnical and materials experts. The end product of your work will be a report setting out your findings. Their highways and civil engineering business is in strong demand, and there will be opportunities to progress as the business grows.
Your Profile: A chartered or incorporated member of the ICE, CIHT, IHE or equivalent. Ten plus years of highways experience gained with a local authority, consultancy or contractor. This should ideally have a focus on managing and delivering maintenance/reconstruction projects. Good communication skills are essential, especially the ability to prepare well-written reports.
Additional Remuneration: In addition to the base salary, their profit share scheme provides substantial additional income.
