Summary: Drainage & infrastructure design and management for a successful UK developer. Our client is offering meaningful change and progression. They have a new vacancy for a civil engineer with drainage experience and a consulting engineering background. This is an opportunity to apply your existing expertise, with more emphasis and influence on the delivery of projects from early stages right through to completion. You will work alongside a supportive, multidiscipline team of civil & structural engineers, architects and surveyors.
Duties: Working within their expanding technical division, your duties will include:
- Providing feasibility advice at land purchase stages
- Review of technical site data
- Instructing topographical surveys and assessing findings
- Agreeing scope and programme of works
- Drainage/SUDS design and co-ordination
- Providing technical input on estate roads and foundation design
- Supervising junior engineers and technicians
- Attending design meetings
- Contributing insights to enhance operational efficiencies
- Visiting projects under construction at key milestones (typically once or twice per week)
Profile Required: A civil engineer with a consulting engineering background. At least six years’ experience that includes the design of drainage systems for developer led infrastructure projects. Familiarity with industry standard software such as PDS, AutoCAD, FLOW or similar packages. Degree or HND qualified, you will ideally be incorporated, or working towards achieving I.Eng or C.Eng status (ICE approved training and mentorship is available).
