For an engineer with drainage design and flood risk experience, this is an opportunity to learn and progress. Our client has an excellent record of successfully preparing their engineers for ICE professional review.
The Role: Under the mentorship of the Associate (a chartered civil engineer), your involvement will start at planning support stages, taking in the development of drainage concepts and full technical design. You will help prepare flood risk assessments and drainage strategy reports that support planning applications. You will be involved in the design of surface water and foul water drainage systems and help to develop SUDS concepts that guide site layouts. You will contribute to flood alleviation and coastal erosion work by providing technical evidence and practical designs. You will also work closely with planners, architects and other engineers to ensure your assessments and designs are properly understood and used at the right stage of the project.

Your Profile: This is an intermediate level position. You will need around two to five years' experience and a degree in civil engineering. Drainage design experience gained in a consulting environment is essential, flood risk assessment experience is highly desirable. You should be familiar with industry standard software such as Civil 3D and InfoDrainage. A willingness to progress and to commit to the chartership training provided.
