Job Description

Position: Civil / Structural Project Engineer ( Temporary Works Engineer )

Location: London

Salary: £50,000 -£60,000 per annum, plus pension, bonus & benefits

You will be working alongside a temporary works associate, greatly helping your progression into a more senior role. The practice stands out for its ability to handle complex building structures and heavy civil engineering projects, earning them a reputation for technical excellence.

Your focus will be on major projects typically valued between £10m – 100m. Schemes will encompass commercial, residential, pharmaceutical, industrial, process, bridges and ports & harbours.

Your Role: With the guidance and support of an Associate you will provide advice at tender stage, carry out scheme design and oversee detailed design phases, ensuring quality standards are adhered to. Your work will encompass steel and RC designs for façade retention, basement excavations, propping, shoring, plus a myriad of temporary works related design solutions. As you progress you will work more closely with clients and provide pre-construction advice and liaise with their site based project managers and directors.

Required Skills: A degree qualified civil or structural engineer with five or more years’ experience that includes a significant element of temporary works design. The ability to think laterally and deliver schemes that prove safe and practical for construction is essential.
