Position: Senior Hydraulic Engineer
Location: Birmingham / Hybrid
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 Per Annum, Plus Healthcare, Pension, Profit Share, Bonus, Share Scheme & Benefits

They are known for their expertise in civil engineering, construction, architecture, M&E, electronics, fire prevention, automotive, shipping, water engineering, environmental, power and energy. Their experts are drawn directly from their respective industries and operate throughout their UK and overseas offices. They are engaged by property developers, client organisations, government agencies, local authorities, legal firms, insurers, loss adjusters, utilities and manufacturers. The company is admired as an employer and it has very low staff turnover. Terms and conditions of employment are generous and investment in staff is high. They are a profitable, well managed business working in a high margin sector.
Your Profile: At least eight years of water engineering / hydrology experience gained in consulting practice. This should have included topics such as flood risk, drainage, hydraulic modelling, catchment analysis and flood investigation. Chartered with the ICE, CIWEM, IEMA, GeolSoc, IWater or SocEnv. A 2:1 degree or above in civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental Science or an equivalent relevant subject. Naturally inquisitive with the ability to apply lateral thinking and deductive reasoning skills to resolve complex technical problems. A good communicator capable of preparing well written reports and clearly articulating engineering concepts.
Training & Progression: Support will be provided to enable you to apply your specialist technical expertise from a forensic investigation perspective. You will learn how to carry out investigations and present your findings. Growth and consistent demand for their services provides plenty of scope for career progression up to director level. Should you wish, you will have the opportunity to benefit from additional training to become an expert witness.
Additional Remuneration: In addition to the base salary you will receive a share of your fee income, this can provide a significant uplift in earnings.
