A technical management opportunity for a civil engineer with extensive drainage and development infrastructure expertise. Our client is a well-established consultancy with a strong future workload that operates in buoyant sectors. Their civil engineering division is working on new, large scale projects, especially data centres, logistics facilities and industrial & manufacturing developments. They are successful in retaining and delivering consistent value to coveted blue chip clients. Duties:

  • You will lead a small team of civil engineers and technicians.
  • The scope of works will encompass master planning, feasibility and pre-development engineering, flood management, approvals for adoptable highway and sewerage schemes and detail design delivery of roads and sustainable urban drainage schemes.
  • Your involvement will start at client advisory stages and involve programming of works, quality control, mentoring and selection of new staff and the successful, profitable delivery of works packages.
  • As a member of their management team you will provide input on operational and strategic issues and will be expected to keep abreast of industry trends and activity.

Your profile:

  • You should be a chartered or incorporated civil or environmental civil engineer.
  • You should have delivery management experience and a strong technical grounding in drainage related infrastructure design.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, there will be regular contact with key clients.
  • In addition to day to day management and technical duties you will provide input on operational and commercial issues.
