Family Support Worker (Temp) in Weymouth

Our client a specialist provider of Residential Children\’s homes in Dorset who support young people age 12-17 to become independent and contributing members of society by helping them to unlock their full potential and achieve their individual goals are currently seeking dedicated and caring Support Workers to join their team and support their homes in Weymouth, Dorchester and Bournemouth

As a Support Worker, you will:
Ensure all needs and goals are identified and addressed in a support plan.
Promote person centred planning and involvement.
Involve residents in any decision about their support and future plans in order to maximise service user choice.
Liaise with other appropriate services, acting as advocate and support for individuals to ensure they receive appropriate support services.
Assist residents to access the community, take them shopping & to appointments i.e. doctors, care reviews, job centre appointments
Help and support residents to prepare meals and snacks.
Support residents keep their home clean and tidy.
Undertake regular property inspection and room checks.
Promote residents to identify training needs, education and / or work experience and assist in finding suitable courses and/ or work experience.
