We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of our nursery.

The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children.

This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring high standards of childcare and early childhood education are maintained.

The Nursery Room Leader will also be responsible for guiding and supporting team members, fostering positive relationships with children and their families, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education.
  • Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote development across all areas.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times, adhering to health and safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and updates.
  • Manage daily routines within the nursery, including meal times, naps, and play sessions.
  • Support staff development through training sessions and ongoing mentorship.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to nursery operations as required.

Skills

  • Proven management and leadership abilities within a childcare or nursery setting.
  • Extensive experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or childcare environments.
  • Strong organisational skills to coordinate daily activities efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating independent initiative.
  • Compassionate approach to childcare with a genuine passion for child development.
  • Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or community engagement activities.
  • Knowledge of current childcare legislation and best practices in early childhood education.
