LESTRANGE is a premium menswear brand creating a more considered everyday wardrobe.
Built around the idea of modular dressing, we design versatile, refined pieces that make getting dressed feel effortless.
This summer we opened our new Soho flagship, The Apartment, on Berwick Street - a physical expression of the brand.
Vintage furniture, considered materials, a home-like feel.
Somewhere to slow down, explore the collection, and experience the brand properly.
But we want it to be more than a shop.
Our ambition is to build The Apartment into a menswear destination in London - a hub for clienteling, styling, events and long‑term customer relationships.
And we need a Head of Store to lead that direction.
The role
This is a role for someone who understands that a store, done properly, is more than a place to buy clothes.
It's where a brand becomes tangible, through the service, the standards, the details and the way customers feel when they walk in.
You’ll be the face of Berwick Street.
You’ll set the tone on the floor, run the operation, lead the team, and build the customer relationships that turn a first visit into a long‑term wardrobe.
This is a hands‑on role - greeting customers, styling, running clienteling appointments and hosting the events and evenings that make Berwick Street the hub of LESTRANGE in London.
You’ll also own the daily operation of the store, supported by a Supervisor and sales team.
Berwick Street is one store, but our ambition for it is much bigger than that.
We want it to become one of the best small stores in London menswear - a hub for the brand, a destination for the customers who matter most, and a meaningful commercial engine in its own right.
The role is as much about building that as it is about running the day‑to‑day.
We’re looking for someone with a point of view on retail, real experience in premium or luxury environments, and the taste, confidence and personal standards to build something lasting.
- What you’ll do
- Lead the store experience
- Set the standard for how customers are welcomed, styled and looked after
- Build long‑term customer relationships and grow a personal clienteling book
- Host in‑store events and private appointments from styling evenings to partner collaborations
- Bring the LESTRANGE story to life through your knowledge of product, fabric, fit and the wider world the brand sits in
- Ensure every touchpoint of the store from the greeting to the drink offered to the music reflects the brand at its best
- Lead the team
- Recruit, develop and retain a small team of Supervisor and part‑time colleagues
- Coach and mentor the team through daily feedback, product education and standards
- Create a culture where standards are held by example, not enforced
- Own the rota and ensure the store is properly resourced across the trading week
- Drive commercial performance
- Own the store’s revenue, AOV and conversion metrics
- Identify commercial opportunities through customer insight, product mix and outfitting Grow AOV through considered outfitting and confident cross‑sell - helping customers build wardrobes, not just buy items
- Report weekly on performance, customer trends, product feedback and opportunities to the founders
- Own the operation
- Oversee stock ordering, replenishment, transfers and stockroom organisation
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to a consistently high bar
- Ensure operational processes - opening, closing, admin, reporting - are executed to standard
- Represent the store to suppliers, partners, press and neighbours in the local Soho community
About you
- You have a genuine, personal interest in menswear - how men dress today, the brands worth paying attention to, the details that separate good from great
- You have significant experience in premium or luxury retail - Store Manager, Head of Store, or a senior client‑facing role at a comparable brand
- You are the kind of person other people want to buy from, work with, and spend time around
- You have a real point of view on service, taste and standards — and the confidence to hold them
- You have run a small team well - recruiting, developing, and getting the best out of the people around you
- You are commercially minded - you care about the numbers and know how to move them through service and outfitting, not discounting
- You are comfortable being the face of a brand in‑store and in the wider community
- You've built a personal client book before, and know how to nurture long‑term customer relationships
- Experience in menswear, tailoring, or a comparable premium lifestyle environment (private members' clubs, hospitality, curated retail) is a strong advantage
What we offer
- A role with major ownership.
This is one store, but the ambition is to make it a significant part of the business — with the growth in revenue, brand equity and customer relationships that comes with that.
- A compensation structure designed to reward that ambition.
Competitive base salary plus a meaningful performance‑linked bonus tied to the store’s growth, so as you build the business, you share directly in the upside.
- Direct working relationship with the founders. Real access, real influence, and the freedom to shape how the store operates.
- The team, the standards and the customer experience are yours to build.
- A brand, a store and a team you can build something lasting with.
