What You'll Be Doing
As part of our growing Health & Social Care Team, you'll
✅ Advise and represent health and social care providers on regulatory, safeguarding and enforcement matters.
✅ Support clients through coroners' inquests, including witness preparation and preparing evidence..
✅ Assist in defending criminal proceedings and safeguarding concerns.
✅ Draft legal documents, representations, witness statements, appeals, contracts and policies.
✅ Attend hearings, client meetings and other forums as required.
✅ Manage your own caseload while working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers.
✅ Collaborate with colleagues across our Employment, Corporate and wider legal teams on complex multi-disciplinary matters.
✅ Support business development initiatives through networking, events, articles and thought leadership.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from newly qualified solicitors and those due to qualify shortly who can demonstrate:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Confidence managing competing priorities and client expectations.
- A genuine interest in health, social care, regulatory or public law matters.
- A willingness to develop advocacy and public speaking skills.
- Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for being part of a supportive team.
- High levels of professionalism, initiative and attention to detail.
Previous experience in health and social care, healthcare regulatory work, public law, employment, disputes or criminal/regulatory matters would be advantageous, but a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are equally important.
