Lester Aldridge is seeking an experienced solicitor to work within our highly regarded Litigation and Recoveries team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a successful team with high-profile clients. Your role will be to act for finance houses, banks, other lenders and commercial entities in effecting the recovery of outstanding debts and assets, and dealing with associated litigation. You will need to be able to demonstrate your experience in Defended Litigation and have a strong background in Consumer Credit Asset Finance.
Your Responsibilities- Manage a case load independently and advise clients in writing, by telephone and in person.
- Progress litigation cases on the small, fast and multi-track from pre-issue through to enforcement.
- Draft documents including but not limited to pleadings, evidence, other relevant court documentation and correspondence with all parties.
- Advise clients as to strategy and commercial approach.
- Involvement in client reporting requirements.
- Respond to enquiries from new clients giving further information about LA services and cross-reference to other relevant fee earners where appropriate.
- Research new issues to find appropriate and creative solutions for clients.
- Comply with and promote firm-wide/Solicitors Regulation Authority procedures, for example, compliance, HR and accounts.
- Support, promote and build relationships with colleagues.
- Act as a role model and mentor to junior members of the firm.
- Involvement in business development and marketing.
- Keep current with the latest legal knowledge and working practices.
