We’re looking for a proactive and client-focused Paralegal to join our Health & Social Care team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a broad range of complex and meaningful matters, supporting clients across the health and social care sector while developing your legal skills in a growing and highly regarded practice area.

About the Role

As a Paralegal in our Health & Social Care team, you’ll support fee earners on a wide variety of matters, including regulatory issues, inquests, safeguarding, and contractual work. You’ll assist with case progression, legal research, and drafting, while gaining valuable exposure to complex and often high-profile work. This role offers excellent hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop your legal knowledge within a supportive and collaborative team.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supporting fee earners with a range of health and social care matters, including regulatory, contractual, and contentious issues.
  • Assisting with cases involving enforcement action, safeguarding matters, criminal investigations, and due diligence.
  • Supporting preparation for Coroners’ inquests, including document preparation and witness support.
  • Assisting with professional disciplinary matters and investigations.
  • Drafting legal documents including witness statements, representations, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Conducting legal research and helping to develop practical, client-focused solutions.
  • Attending meetings, hearings, and client discussions where appropriate.
  • Managing delegated tasks and assisting with case progression.
  • Responding to new client enquiries and supporting the promotion of the firm’s services.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments within the health and social care sector.
  • Supporting business development activities such as events, networking, and content creation.
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues across the firm.
  • Ensuring compliance with firm-wide procedures, including AML and file management requirements.

  • Previous experience in a legal or professional services environment (paralegal experience desirable).
  • A strong interest in health and social care law or regulatory work.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
