Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit an Accounts Administrator to join our Accounts Department at our Cowes branch. This role provides vital administrative support to the finance function, ensuring the smooth operation of accounting systems, accurate data handling and efficient communication across departments. You will work closely with the Company Accountant and wider dealership team in a well-structured, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the production of company accounts and statutory information
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry across accounting systems
- Gather, collate and circulate financial reports as required
- Respond efficiently to financial information requests from other departments
- Maintain office systems, stationery stock and equipment
- Support process improvements to increase efficiency and service levels
- Assist with initiatives to improve profitability and operational performance
- Ensure all financial administration complies with company policy and legal requirements
About You
- Previous experience in an accounts or administration role (motor trade experience beneficial but not essential)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident using computerised systems and office software
- Able to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
- A positive, professional team player
- Willing to learn, develop and support continuous improvement
