ROOM SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION – Toddler group
- Caring for children : Ensuring children are happy and healthy, and meeting their individual needs. Be involved in feeding the children and enforce safeguarding rules.
- Creating a stimulating learning environment : Providing engaging activities for children in both indoor and outdoor areas
- Showing Leadership : The Room Supervisor will lead by showing example of how the work is to be done, working as part of a team, assigning tasks, mentoring staff, and helping them develop new skills.
- Promoting child welfare : Ensuring child welfare, protection, health, and safety.
- Developmental records: Complete children developmental records and activities using the FAMLY app. Conduct termly assessment.
- Weekly activity plan: Plan weekly activities for the age group in line with the EYFS framework. This must be documented and reviewed by the Manager or Deputy Manager. A record of this must be maintained to reassure parents and regulators.
- General activities: Lead outdoor activities, promote cleanliness of the working environment and share responsibilities with her team.
- Safeguarding: The Room Supervisor will promote safeguarding rules, report incident first to the Manager, document in the FAMLY app and report to the Parents concern.
Min qualification is level 3 with 5 years Early Years Experience in a Nursery (2 of which should be as a Room Leader).
Full-time position with a pay range of £27,040 to £30,160
