NURSERY ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
A Nursery Assistant’s duties include:
- To complete children developmental records using the FAMLY app.
- To support colleagues and work as a team to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environments for all children.
- To assist in providing a range of stimulating and exciting activities for the children which encourage independence, motivation and an eagerness to learn.
- To work as part of the team to ensure that Ofsted standards are always followed.
- Providing support to other staffs when needed. Creating an environment that meets the needs of the children by considering their cultural and medical needs.
- Advising the Nursery Manager about concerns relating to a child or parent while respecting confidentiality requirements.
- Adhering to the nursery’s policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements relating to childcare.
- Maintaining high standards for safety, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- Creating fun and educational activities for the children under their care.
- Helping with changing of diapers, nappies and general cleaning.
- Be professional in their communication with colleagues, the Manager and Parents.
- Rudeness will not be tolerated. Act as key worker to children.
- Nursery Practitioners: Min qualification of Level 2 (though Level 3 is preferred) with at least 2 years’ experience in a Nursery. Full-time or part-time with pay range of £24,960 to £27,040
