Here’s the thing: not all group training studios are the same. And the reality is, not all coaches are the same either.

You get those coaches who stand at the front, say the cues, cheer everyone on – but don’t really coach or educate.

But that’s not you. You’re different.

You’re the coach who’s ready to leave your mark and be remembered as one of the best we’ve ever had. You thrive on growth and even more so, passing on that growth and knowledge to better everyone around you.

We’re looking for a Full-Time Head Coach who wants to lead from the front. Someone who isn’t just looking for a role to pay rent while figuring out what’s next. You’re here for the long game – ready to craft your art consistently and build something bigger than yourself.

This is a full-time role that includes approximately 25 hours per week on the floor, with the remaining hours dedicated to education, content creation, member retention, and converting trials into memberships.

About you:

  • Highly energetic, with clear communication skills and a warm, engaging personality that people gravitate towards

  • Confident in managing large groups while still providing individual attention

  • Advanced knowledge of training techniques to help people move safely and efficiently, with a willingness to continually learn and teach the BFT methodology

  • You’re not just ‘passionate about fitness’ for Instagram. This industry changed your life. You live it. You believe it. And you want to impact everyone you can

  • You’re building a career in fitness. You want to be valued as a leader, and be the reason members achieve greatness in their lives

  • You thrive on education and growth – not just for yourself, but for your team and your members

  • You’re humble enough to take feedback, learn, and adapt, no matter how experienced you are

  • You’re excited to work somewhere that upholds high standards. From coaching KPIs through to studio cleanliness.

  • You’re proficient with content creation to engage, educate, and entertain our community while attracting new followers

  • Available for full-time hours, including early mornings, evenings and special events

What do we offer the right person?

  • Competitive salary: $70-75,000 + Super + Uncapped Commission/Bonus

  • Complimentary membership for you and a friend/partner to train at BFT

  • A supportive, motivated, and passionate team across three sister studios, with owners who are heavily invested in your success and a budget to back it

  • Access to ongoing professional development and industry-leading training

  • Exposure to how the business actually works – developing your skills in coaching, retention, conversion, and team development

  • Social events, team-building activities, and a positive work environment where growth is at the heart of everything we do

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum Cert III in Fitness (Cert IV, Strength & Conditioning, or Exercise Science preferred)

  • Experience in PT and coaching groups at a high standard, creating a positive, performance-driven environment

  • Sales experience within fitness or customer service industries a bonus

  • Current First Aid & CPR certification

  • Experienced BFT Coach highly regarded

We’re looking to hire within the next 7-14 days.

We hire for character, leadership, and a growth mindset. Technical skills can always be developed, but who you are at your core is what counts most.

You ready?

Submit your cover letter and resume detailing your relevant experience, and why you’re the ideal candidate for the Head Coach position at BFT Cheltenham.
