A local engineering company who supplies and installs specialist equipment to both commercial and domestic customers now requires a health and safety manager to join their team. The company is accredited with ISO 9001 and wants to progress and gain both ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Health and Safety Manager - Job Role:

  • This will be an office based role managing the health and safety of over 60 remote workers (field service engineers).
  • You will be responsible for maintaining and updating the HSE Policies and Procedures.
  • Undertake Health & Safety training and inductions.
  • Undertake Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Work with the Compliance and Operations manager to maintain the ISO 9001 accreditation.
  • Undertake Toolbox talks.

Health and Safety Manager – Person Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must come from the Engineering Industry as a Health and Safety Manager.
  • Hold a minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent in Health and Safety.
  • Member of IOSH.
  • Experienced in managing ISO 9001 internal audits.
  • Experience of managing loan workers (ideally engineers).
  • Have a hands on and engaging approach to health and safety.
