A sales, service and installation business, selling and maintaining a range of forecourt equipment including Pumps, Payment Terminals, Tank Gauges and other ancillary equipment now requires a Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Manager to join their team.
Overview:
The total number of employees in UK & Ireland is currently around 90, but most are field based technicians on customer sites. Their customers include the Hypermarkets, Major Oil Companies and large independent networks as well as a number of smaller dealer customers. The head office is in Scotland and houses functions such as Customer Service and Administration, Technical Support, Projects, Contracts, Parts and Logistics and HR, Finance and IT. The EHS&Q manager role will be home based and will require frequent travel throughout the UK.
Job Role:
- Fully responsible for health & safety in UK & Ireland
- EHS Site lead for HQ undertaking both strategic and transactional EHS duties
- Ensure correct EHS & Quality processes are followed
- Improve education level of employees through training & briefings
- Investigate & conclude any incidents or accidents formally
- Influence others in the business to carry out EHS tasks & meet deadlines – this role is crucial
- The role involves 50% Safety, 30% environment, 20% health
- Maintain & develop ISO framework
- Two thirds of the role are EHS, and one third is Quality
- Visit customers to ensure their environment is safe for field service technicians including carrying out EHS audits and investigations
- Health and Safety audits of facility and field personnel
- Attendance at local contractor safety meetings with contract personnel
- Responsible for customer safety accreditations
- Principal contact for customer HSSE & Quality audits of Petroassist business
- Focal point for HSSE legislation updates keeping the Snr team updated on any impacts to the business
- Chairperson of Management HSSE Meetings & provide advice and guidance to HSSE Working Group
Person Requirements:
The ideal candidate must come from the Engineering Industry as a Health and Safety Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications or experience:
- Must have EHS and Quality Experience, preferably within engineering and manufacturing. Experience need not be product or industry specific but preferable
- Hold a minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate
- Member of IOSH and Working towards CMIOSH
- Knowledge of CDM
- Lead Auditor certification – ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience of Managing Multiple sites nationwide
