Field Service Engineer Salary: Circa £38k-40k Shifts: Days Due to continued growth, our client is a specialised Engineering manufacturing company who are currently looking for a field service Engineer Purpose of Role – Field Service Engineer * To complete Electrical, Control and Instrumentation site-based inspections, and perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on installed systems to ensure optimal functionality and reliability. * Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. * Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and offering timely solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues. * Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and acting as a reliable service engineer. * Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of service visits, technical issues, resolutions, and customer interactions. Candidate requirements – Field Service Engineer * Run own diary and customer base, including travel and accommodation arrangements to suit. * Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. * Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and troubleshoot complex technical systems. * Calm, diplomatic personality; sometimes there is pressure to get equipment working quickly. * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
