My client is seeking an accomplished Manufacturing / Operations Leader to take responsibility for a production site and play a central role in driving operational performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
The role carries full accountability for the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of operating methods, systems, equipment, and infrastructure used to achieve site objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading production planning and scheduling to meet internal targets and customer commitments
- Monitoring process and workforce performance, identifying constraints, and removing operational barriers
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe, robust manufacturing environment
- Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing corrective actions to drive results
- Conducting performance reviews, coaching leaders, and building a high-performing culture
- Translating the company’s strategic vision into practical, executable operational plans
- Driving efficiency improvements and margin enhancement initiatives
- Supporting and implementing automation and modern manufacturing solutions
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing safety, including hazard identification and regulatory compliance
- Experience in budget planning and cost control
- A solid grounding in quality management systems and continuous improvement
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis
- Proven use of performance management frameworks to improve team and site performance
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience working within defined manufacturing standards, procedures, and policies
- Progressive leadership responsibility within manufacturing, including formal operations management roles
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels and lead, motivate, and influence teams
- Experience managing a production site or similar manufacturing operation
- Exposure to sustainable manufacturing practices, technology-led improvement, and automation
- Strong computer literacy
