Leprino is seeking to appoint a Shred / String Operative on a permanent basis. The role is based at the Magheralin site working within the Department Name department.

The Shred/String Production Operator is responsible for the efficient and compliant production of shred and string products, ensuring all output meets internal specifications and external standards. This role requires strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), proactive quality control, and effective communication across departments to maintain high operational standards and product integrity.
The successful candidates must have:
Essential:- Physically capable of regularly handling up to 10-12kg and lifting weights up to 25kg.
- A sufficient level of agility is required to access all areas of plant and equipment.
- Ability to follow PSOP and safety procedures.
- Demonstrate competent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Willingness to complete mandatory training (H&S, PSOP, QA).
- A minimum of six months' relevant work experience within a production or manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience in a food production or dairy processing setting is highly desirable.
- Working towards targets and within a fast-paced environment.
- Sound understanding of standards, equipment, and processes within a production or packing environment, along with knowledge of safe working practices.
- Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Demonstrate initiative, effective problem-solving and planning skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a flexible, adaptable approach to change.
- Self-motivation, teamwork orientation, and respect for others are key behavioural attributes.
- Experience working in a regulated or high-volume production environment.
- English, Maths GCSE/O Level or equivalent, minimum of a C Grade.
- Powered pallet truck training.
- Relevant experience in food/dairy manufacturing and production.
- Knowledge of equipment and processes within the food/dairy production environment.
- Experience in multi-headed weighers, bagging machines and dicers.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to train or mentor others.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates initiative in identifying process improvements.
