About the Role

The Head of Marketing will own and lead our brand health agenda, with a clear mandate to grow brand awareness and consideration in order to raise the ceiling on new customer acquisition and grow our overall share of the market. This role is accountable for defining and delivering our ATL marketing proposition end-to-end. From creative strategy and messaging, through to the execution of large-scale brand campaigns, you will ensure our brand shows up consistently, distinctively and effectively across all external touchpoints. You will work closely with internal media, brand and creative teams, alongside external brand and creative agencies, to deliver integrated campaigns that ladder into the key drivers of brand consideration. You will also play a critical role in aggregating and aligning activity delivered by other teams, particularly Sports and Casino, ensuring a joined-up story across brand, acquisition and existing customer messaging. A key part of the role will be working in partnership with the Sponsorships teams to ensure all branding, messaging and activations delivered through sponsorship platforms align to an overarching marketing strategy designed to improve brand health. The role will have line management responsibility for the Organic Social and Marketing Planning functions, both currently small but strategically important capabilities within the wider marketing organisation.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Owning overall brand health, with a primary focus on improving awareness and consideration to support long-term customer growth
  • Defining and leading our ATL strategy, including creative direction, messaging frameworks and campaign architecture
  • Ensuring all external brand messaging is consistent, cohesive and clearly ladders into agreed drivers of brand consideration
  • Leading the development and delivery of large-scale ATL campaigns, working closely with internal media, brand and creative teams
  • Managing relationships with external brand and creative agencies, setting clear briefs, standards and expectations
  • Working closely with the Sponsorships teams to ensure brand presence, messaging and activations through sponsorships are aligned to the wider marketing and brand strategy
  • Aggregating and aligning campaigns delivered by Sports and Casino commercial teams to ensure a joined-up external narrative
  • Working to align brand-led, acquisition-focused and existing customer messaging wherever possible
  • Providing strategic direction and support to the Organic Social function, ensuring social activity reinforces broader brand messaging
  • Owning the marketing planning function, ensuring clear articulation, prioritisation and sequencing of major brand and marketing initiatives
  • Using brand tracking, research and insight to inform strategy, measure effectiveness and continuously refine our approach
  • Acting as a senior marketing leader and partner across the business, influencing stakeholders and championing brand thinking

Our Successful Candidate Will Have the Following

  • Proven experience leading brand and ATL marketing at scale, ideally within a fast-paced or highly competitive environment
  • A strong understanding of brand health metrics, particularly awareness and consideration, and how they link to commercial outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience shaping creative strategy and messaging, and translating this into impactful campaigns
  • Experience working with both internal teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality brand work
  • Experience collaborating with sponsorship or partnership teams to deliver coherent, brand-led activations
  • The ability to bring clarity and coherence across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to execute and deliver
  • Confidence operating at a senior level, influencing and aligning stakeholders across different teams
  • Experience managing small, specialist teams and getting outsized impact from limited resource
  • A clear passion for brand building, storytelling and long-term value creation
