ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Risk and Fraud Team Leader you will inspire individual growth by engaging in regular one-to-one sessions with team members providing feedback to boost performance and foster personal growth. You will manage operational tasks such as undertaking necessary administration work, including customer correspondence and record-keeping while ensuring smooth operations and attention to detail. You will also be efficiently assigning daily operational tasks to achieve seamless teamwork and maximum productivity.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Support Operational Duties: Assist the Risk, Fraud and Payments manager with scheduling and other operational duties to keep everything moving smoothly
- Embrace New Challenges: Take on similar ad hoc work as directed by the Manager, contributing to the dynamic and rewarding team environment
- Be the Reliable Support: Act as a constant point of reference, offering expert guidance and promptly addressing any queries or escalations made by the team
- Exceed Collaboration Expectations: Ensure optimal handling of escalations from various departments including Safer Gambling, AML, Customer Services, Legal, Compliance and Management teams
- Lead Risk and Fraud Procedures: Develop and implement long-term fraud prevention strategies to reduce risk exposure while maintaining operational efficiencies
- Empower Proactive Actions: Oversee high-level fraud detection, chargeback handling, and transaction monitoring, ensuring optimal accuracy and efficiency
- Promote Skill Development: Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development opportunities for Analysts and Senior Analysts
- Drive Process Innovation: Evaluate and help implement new fraud prevention tools, techniques, and technologies to enhance detection and prevention capabilities within the department
- Proactive Issue Resolution: Work closely with Payments, and Product & Tech to ensure a secure and seamless ecosystem
- Nurture Team Excellence: Support the team in their responsibilities, ensuring team motivation, efficiency and high engagement
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Critical Thinking: Employing logical and objective reasoning to potential fraud risks and make informed decisions
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in conducting Risk and Fraud checks and investigations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and external agencies, especially when reporting Risk and Fraud maters
- Adaptability: Being flexible in a dynamic regulatory environment and adapting to changes in Risk and Fraud procedures and best practices
- Time Management: Efficiently managing workload and meeting deadlines for Risk and Fraud reporting and investigations
- Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with Risk and Fraud software, JIRA, Tableau, Mitek along with good knowledge of Microsoft and Google Apps
- Legal and Regulatory Awareness: Understanding relevant Risk and Fraud prevention laws, gaming regulations, and compliance obligations
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrating leadership qualities to guide and mentor Risk and Fraud teams effectively. Previous management experience is desirable but not essential
- Ethical Conduct: Upholding high ethical standards in handling sensitive Risk and Fraud information and maintaining confidentiality
- Continuous Learning: Being proactive in staying updated with Risk and Fraud trends, industry best practices, and emerging threats
- A minimum of 12 months experience in Risk and Fraud or a similar role
