ABOUT THE ROLE
Sitting within the Central Brand Team, the Senior Partnerships Manager (Maternity Cover) will play a key role in the strategic vision, planning and activation of the UK BetMGM brand partnerships portfolio. Working with Premier League football clubs, the PDC and The Jockey Club to name a few - the successful candidate will amplify the partnership's portfolio to support key brand metrics and commercial growth. The Senior Partnerships Manager will work alongside the Partnerships Manager, PR Manager and Brand Director to lead on strategy through to activation whilst identifying opportunities for potential future growth.
We are looking for a highly organised individual, with a passion for sport, strong strategic thinking, and excellent relationship management skills. The ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering and activating successful sports partnerships. This is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave, until June 2027 with the possibility of extension.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Oversee BetMGM’s full partnership portfolio by working with rights holders and third party agencies as required
- Management of the partnerships and PR team
- Relationship management with a number of key stakeholders across all properties both internally and externally
- Strategic planning and rights delivery in line with local market commercial objectives
- Ownership of the partnerships and PR budget working closely with budget owners and finance team
- Identify potential new sponsorship opportunities in sports and casino verticals
- Delivering assets and maximising partnerships with third party media platforms
- Work with multi-Channel Teams on developing activity which drive fan/customer engagement & campaign strategies which further drive commercial benefit
- Deliver as required, ticketing requests to internal and external stakeholders
- Reporting & where required; presenting to senior stakeholders on all sponsorship activity
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Experience managing teams and multiple high value partners
- Demonstration of strategic planning and activation of sports partnerships
- Sound knowledge of the sports partnership landscape
- A passion for sports
- An understanding of the gambling industry
- Understanding in the coordination and execution of wider marketing plans, including channels such as TV, Radio, OOH and digital marketing channels
- Support in the development and approval of marketing assets across channels
- A requirement to work out of hours, attend sporting events to host clients and travel where necessary
- Educated to degree level and have a minimum of 5 years experience in a partnerships/marketing role
