We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Bookmaking Trading Specialist to join our dynamic Sports and Racing team. This is a pivotal, hands‑on role at the core of our sportsbook operations, encompassing pre‑match and in‑play trading, expert odds compilation, racing risk management, and strategic product‑level content management. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced environment and contribute significantly to our commercial objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the daily Sports and Racing boost program, handling scheduling, pricing, and deployment.
- Compile narrative‑led pre‑match Price Boosts and BetBuilders using media and market intelligence.
- Develop pre‑packaged, commercially sound BetBuilders for key sporting events.
- Support live, in‑play Price Boosts and BetBuilders, reacting swiftly to event developments.
- Compile odds for niche markets (transfers, next manager, novelties) and manage liabilities.
- Deliver rapid, accurate reactive pricing for PR, media, and social media requests.
- Optimize front‑end sportsbook content, including market ordering, lobbies, and carousels.
- Support UK sporting calendar strategy across Trading, Risk, and Analytics functions.
- Manage daily racing odds alongside automated and managed trading service platforms.
- Monitor and mitigate daily racing liability across UK and Irish race meetings.
- Identify and manage high‑value or sharp racing customer activity per risk policy.
- Provide data modelling, insights, and reporting to the Bookmaking Strategy & Analytics team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a sportsbook trading or bookmaking role, with comprehensive knowledge of UK sports markets.
- Practical experience in compiling odds across diverse sports and market types, including specials and novelties.
- Strong familiarity with racing markets, daily odds, and robust risk management processes.
- Ability to expertly interpret team news, media narratives, and live event data to craft commercially attractive, narrative‑driven offers.
- Comfortable and adept at working within a structured rotating shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.
- In‑depth knowledge of BetBuilder products and in‑play trading workflows.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with or integrating automated and managed trading service platforms.
- Exposure to sportsbook product management, including lobby and content configuration.
- Experience in supporting or contributing to analytical or strategic functions within a betting operation.
