At LeoVegas, data is essential to all our decision making needs regarding customer behaviour, marketing, social media, product development and discovery of new markets.
The Data Engineering Team is responsible for gathering and processing this information into consumable insights using Big Data technologies. As our Data Engineer you will join a team of eight data engineers that work with the latest technologies available inside the Google GCP ecosystem.
You will be responsible for elaborating new solutions, implementing and maintaining batch and near real-time ETL pipelines having quality, performance and costs optimisation in mind. You will be collaborating with the wider team to optimise data flows, helping business records to integrate and support in the data pipelines.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Building the ETL pipelines out of complex and high-volume datasets
- Helping business records to integrate and support in the data pipelines
- Integrate, ingest and help improve the data into the Data Warehouse in the Google cloud environment
- Work on adding new features to the system
- Update cloud components
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- ETL data pipelines development
- Strong knowledge of BigQuery, Dataform is a plus
- Airflow, Dataflow
- Java SE, Python and SQL
- Software engineering practices around test automation, CI/CD, version control
- Knowledge about data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques
NICE TO HAVE:
- Knowledge in streaming pipelines / Kafka
- iGaming industry experience
