R&D Tax Assistant Manager | London Hybrid

Leonid Group has been retained by a highly regarded Top 20 accountancy practice to hire an R&D Tax Assistant Manager into its growing Business Tax team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing and collaborative environment where the R&D specialism sits within a broader corporate tax function, offering strong exposure across the wider business whilst still maintaining a close-knit team culture.

The successful individual will manage a varied portfolio of R&D claims across innovative and technology-led businesses. The role offers strong client exposure, technical ownership and genuine progression potential within a firm that is continuing to invest heavily in growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end delivery of R&D claims across a varied client portfolio
  • Preparing and reviewing both technical reports and financial assessments
  • Supporting clients through complex R&D and tax-related discussions
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Involvement in networking, business development and wider growth initiatives

What they are looking for

  • Previous R&D Tax experience gained within practice or consultancy
  • Strong experience across technology-led and innovation-focused claims
  • Experience managing a client portfolio independently
  • Strong technical writing and financial analysis capability
  • Commercial mindset with excellent client-facing skills

  • Must be within commutable distance to London and open to hybrid working
