R&D Tax Director – Top 10 Practice
Leonid Group have been retained by a top 10 accountancy practice in the search for an R&D Tax Director. Based from their Newcastle office, this is a unique opportunity to lead an established team, while driving continued growth across the North‑East region.
- Oversee a portfolio of key R&D clients
- Deliver a technical service to clients, both via your team and directly as well as providing internal advice to colleagues and partners
- Responsible for the targets, fees and recoveries of your team as well as promoting the service line to win new work
- Day‑to‑day welfare and development of your team will remain a key part of the role, working with managers to develop individuals and ensure all work is completed to the highest calibre
- Responsible for your R&D Tax team and for the delivery of bespoke tax planning work for business clients
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in managing teams; leading on growth, quality output and risk management
- Exposure to multiple sectors would be a distinct advantage as our client’s client base is split across broad sectors
- Strong R&D tax background developed in an accountancy environment
- Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation
- Ability to seek new business opportunities
