A leading name in the luxury hospitality sector is seeking a Privacy Counsel / Senior Privacy Manager to join their Legal & Corporate Integrity function and play a key role in shaping and developing their global data privacy programme.

Reporting into the Head of Compliance and working closely with Legal, Compliance, IT, IT Security, Procurement, HR, Marketing and Digital teams, this role will provide practical privacy guidance across a diverse international business.

The role offers broad international exposure, supporting the implementation of privacy standards across a portfolio.

It would suit a lawyer looking for a role with ownership and development opportunities, or an experienced privacy specialist seeking their next position.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, consumer-facing business where privacy sits at the intersection of legal, technology and commercial activity.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help build and enhance a global privacy programme, working closely with senior stakeholders and playing a key role in embedding privacy into business operations and new initiatives.

The role will provide exposure to a wide range of interesting and evolving privacy issues, including AI governance, international data transfers, data mapping, DPIAs, third-party risk, data retention, data breaches and data subject rights.

There will also be an opportunity to support the implementation and development of One Trust and contribute to wider data and AI governance initiatives.

Alongside a competitive base salary, the total compensation package includes bonus, private healthcare, life insurance, 25 days’ annual leave, and enhanced pension contributions (7% employer / 2% employee).

One particularly notable benefit is the company’s programme of complimentary stays, experiences, and significant discounts on luxury holidays, an offering that extends to family and friends and is highly valued across the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong practical experience in data privacy, with a good understanding of UK and EU GDPR and experience supporting or implementing privacy compliance programmes.

You may be a qualified solicitor with a background in privacy law, or a privacy professional with significant hands-on experience and a recognised privacy qualification such as CIPP/E or CIPM.

You will be comfortable working across a broad range of privacy matters, including data mapping, DPIAs, data processing agreements, international data transfers, data subject rights and data breach management.

You will need to be able to translate privacy requirements into practical advice, balancing legal and regulatory obligations with operational and commercial considerations.

For guidance purposes only, you’re likely to have strong experience gained in privacy, data protection or a closely related area.
