Leonid Group has been retained by an exciting R&D tax consultancy entering a major period of growth. This scale-up is on the lookout for a confident, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help shape the next chapter of their success story.
This isn’t a corporate treadmill role. It’s for someone who wants to make things happen, not just talk about them. You’ll be joining a lean, energetic team that values initiative, ideas, and the drive to create something genuinely special in the R&D tax space.
What you’ll be doing:
- Generating new business opportunities and converting leads into long-term client partnerships.
- Building, maintaining and deepening relationships with referral partners and direct clients alike.
- Taking ownership of your pipeline - from first conversation to signed agreement - while providing an exceptional client experience along the way.
- Representing the business with credibility and expertise across the R&D tax community.
- Working closely with leadership to shape and execute commercial strategy during a high-growth phase.
What we’re looking for:
- 3–5+ years’ experience in R&D tax is essential.
- Proven track record of developing successful referral partnerships and/or direct client relationships.
- A strong understanding of the R&D tax process and the needs of clients across a range of sectors.
- Entrepreneurial energy - you thrive in smaller, fast-moving teams where your ideas can shape the way things are done.
- Ideally based in or around London, with flexibility to work remotely and visit the office once a week.
