Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Integrated Product Support (IPS) Subject Matter Expert to play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate technical information and effective In-Service Support to our aircraft programmes worldwide .
Your impact
In this role, you'll provide expert guidance, direction and instruction to IPS Team Members, coordinating Production Services activities to ensure the effective and timely delivery of high-quality logistical data in support of aircraft programmes and In-Service Support requirements.
You'll bring strong knowledge of technical authoring and production tools, with proficiency in systems such as FrameMaker and EAGLE /EAGLE Publishing System, alongside your expertise in Supportability Engineering and Logistic Support Analysis.
Working closely with the Technical Publications Production Services Manager, you'll provide subject matter expertise and support the team in delivering consistent, effective solutions, ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with departmental processes and procedures.

What you will do as IPS Subject Matter Expert
Main Activities
- Lead the harmonisation of IPS team processes, procedures and ways of working.
- Coordinate Production Services activities to ensure work is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality and functionality.
- Provide technical guidance, oversight and support to the IPS team and offload partners, ensuring data requirements and specifications are maintained.
- Oversee the resolution of issues and ensure deliverables meet quality, technical and guideline requirements.
- Coordinate and manage work through relevant business systems, ensuring activities are planned, prioritised and delivered effectively.
- Ensure data is accurate, complete and suitable for customer delivery and final software build.
- Monitor and report departmental KPIs, performance, quality and delivery, escalating risks or concerns where required.
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and meet stakeholder expectations.
- Provide regular reporting to stakeholders on work scope, progress, key issues and delivery status.
Daily Activities
- Coordinate with Production Services Managers, Workflow and Offload teams to ensure work is clearly planned, managed and delivered to agreed processes, timescales and budgets.
- Act as the technical interface between Offload and the business, ensuring requirements, specifications and data standards are maintained.
- Oversee the production, integrity and configuration of logistical data and databases, ensuring compliance with programme and contractual requirements.
- Monitor data through reports and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness and adherence to required standards.
- Manage programme configuration across deliverables and ensure all relevant engineering data is captured and incorporated into IPS datasets.
- Produce, validate and deliver Integrated Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs) using revised data and relevant software tools.
- Analyse engineering documentation and technical information to produce accurate, clear and user-focused IPS logistical data for fleet operators.
- Support data validation and analysis with key stakeholders, ensuring quality-approved information is delivered to customers.
- Monitor and communicate progress on work authorisations, change requests and technical publication issues, escalating risks where appropriate.
- Manage resources effectively to deliver work to the required quality, schedule and budget, identifying and reporting potential cost or delivery issues.
What you'll bring
- Educated to at least HNC level in a relevant aviation related subject. Alternatively, to have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship followed by a period of employment in all aspects of aircraft maintenance and overhaul, sufficient to gain the necessary practical experience for the job role.
- A minimum of 5 years aircraft engineering and/or aircraft LSAR/Technical Publications experience.
- Detailed knowledge of Air Publication and Supportability specifications e.g. ASD Spec 1000D, MilSpec1388 LSAR, DADS, DAvP 70/77, ATA02/90, ATA100, AS2000M etc.
- Knowledge of technical authoring and production tools e.g. Framemaker, EAGLE Publishing System (EPS) and CAPS2000,APACR, COPAC and ASPECT
- Have the ability to interpret engineering drawings and use Dassault Enovia.
- Excellent inter-personal skills.
- Have ability to work to changing deadlines under pressure.
- The ability to document results from the audits performed and documenting validation reports and plans.
- Highly self-motivated and able to work as part of an integrated team as well as independently
