Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will contribute to the effective management of corporate cash, payment processing, reconciliations, and financial controls, while supporting wider treasury activities across the business. The role offers exposure to a broad range of treasury functions and would suit an individual with experience in finance, treasury, or banking who is looking to further develop their career within a dynamic organisation.

What You’ll Do as Treasury Accountant

  • Provide support regarding the day-to-day management of Leonardo UK Corporate Cash, including daily forecasting and cash positioning/sweeping processes.
  • Work independently under own initiative to prepare the month-end cash actual files and update Hyperion accordingly.
  • Verify and approve payments, liaising with the initiators to ensure all payments are processed efficiently.
  • Work independently to provide support in resolution of complex bank account, cash book, and trial balance issues.
  • Process and allocate cash entries via Piteco / SAP (receipts and payments) and manually via journal.
  • Reconcile relevant bank accounts and loan accounts as appropriate.
  • Provide support to the other members of the Leonardo UK Treasury team and deputise during leave and holidays.
  • Process cash accruals and prepayments.
  • Ensure adequate governance and controls are maintained, applying accounting standards correctly.
  • Assist in coordinating the external financial audit and internal audits when required.
  • Work closely with the Piteco consultant to ensure reporting is captured correctly.
  • This role may also support other activities carried out by the wider Treasury team, including cash receipt allocation, bank account administration, inter-divisional loans, downloading bank statements and uploading/maintaining transactional information within the Piteco TMS.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience using accounting software such as SAP and Treasury Management Systems.
  • Previous experience within a finance-related environment, including accountancy or treasury, or a recognised accounting or treasury qualification; full training will be provided.
  • Well-developed organisational and time-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
  • Sound understanding of financial processes, controls, and accounting procedures.
  • A collaborative team player who can work effectively both independently and within a remote or hybrid working environment.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.

We are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.
