Your impact
Do you have experience using ERP systems to manage materials, scheduling, and supply chain activities in a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environment? As an MRP Controller at Leonardo Helicopters, you will play a key role in maintaining a world-class scheduling system to ensure business and programme objectives are achieved. You will be responsible for managing contracted parts through the timely placement of Purchase Orders, while balancing cost, lead time, and inventory requirements. Working within SAP MRP, you will apply sound judgement, analytical thinking, and attention to detail to challenge, validate, and optimise data and planning activities in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

What you will do as an MRP Controller:
- Be the technical owner of a specific range of Material Requirements Planning functions whilst further developing experience in all aspects of the role.
- Amend / update SAP Material Master Data and Operative Networks and schedule requirements.
- Allocate components to ensure best use of company assets in support of all programme objectives.
- Process Purchase Orders for Range Managed parts and Offload Orders.
- Place Production Orders for in-house manufactured parts.
- Process and control Service Management Orders for R&O activity.
- Release Purchase Requisitions as purchasing authority to procurement.
- Procure parts from interplant suppliers.
- Action Quality Notifications.
- Operate an on-loan system to provide assets to rig, A/C programmes etc.
- Run MRP reporting tools and act upon the data outcomes.
- Expedite Material Supply Management.
- Provide technical support on processes and help to train new starters within MRP.
- Review and report on progress and status of work to provide clear statements of position, issues and actions.
- Monitor and expedite mod kit and repair list shortages.
- Provide kits and shop support to onsite and offsite modification and repair embodiments.
- Provide kit forecasts to internal customers.
- Take part in Business Improvement as necessary and carry out improvement activity.
- Take a proactive approach to personal development.
What you’ll bring:
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline or demonstrated equivalent competency obtained through experience.
- Experienced SAP user or equivalent ERP system.
- Integrity and professional approach.
- Background in an Aerospace or high integrity manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Company Quality Systems.
- Team worker who is customer focused.
- Knowledge of assembly and/or manufacturing techniques.
- Good communicator.
