As an Integrated Support Engineer working in the Product Support Engineering team, you will provide key support and expertise to help plan and manage a number of major Integration Logistic Support (ILS) Programmes across AW159/Lynx. You will ensure maximisation of resources, data and procedures across projects to optimise customer satisfaction and support at minimal cost. Working within Customer Support and Training, you will help deliver the company strategic direction in the conduct of ILS and related disciplines. You work with a team of technical specialists to provide the core driving support and input into all company existing and future support concepts and strategies. This role is a JFF level 6.

What You Will Do As An Integrated Support Engineer

  • Product Development and Delivery: Undertake the day-to-day discharge of Supportability Engineering activities, that meet the needs and requirements of your customers and the organisation in a combination of the following disciplines SEA (Author) SEP (Provisioner) SEL (Logistic Support Analysis).
  • Maintain Effective Customer Service: Maintain appropriate contact with relevant stakeholders and seek to develop an effective relationship with them during the course of the task or project being discharged.
  • Process Administration and Development: When carrying out any activity, comply with processes and standards as defined in the LH-OS, and in accordance with applicable contractual, regulatory, and/or legislative procedures and controls. Demonstrate that compliance through appropriate controls and adequate record keeping and documentation.
  • Team and/or Project Supervision: Agree task or project activities with your Team Leader, ensuring that where appropriate, timescales and outputs are achievable within the available budgets and resources and are consistent with the scope of the deliverable.
  • Resource Control: Ensure that, wherever possible, those tasks and projects are discharged within the agreed levels of resource expenditure, and identify, report and agree any potential overspends against those agreed levels with your Team Leader and/or Manager. Seek to reduce the cost of all tasks and projects upon which you are engaged, through effective planning and use of available resource.
  • Data Alignment: Ensure that the core support products LSAR, Data Modules and Provisioning Data for which you are responsible are in full alignment at the point of delivery. Ensure that the LSAR, Data Modules and Provisioning Data is consistent with the maintenance policy.

You will report into the AW159/Lynx Supportability Team Lead responsible for the control and production of Maintenance Engineering Analysis (MEA) Up-dates to all Lynx and AW159 Scheduled Maintenance and Flight Servicing Publications Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) (Identification and Validation) Technical Publications (Practical/Simulated validation activities).

What You’ll Bring

  • Educated to at least HNC level in a relevant aviation related subject. Alternatively, to have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship followed by a period of employment in all aspects of aircraft maintenance and overhaul, sufficient to gain the necessary practical experience for the job role.
  • Knowledge of engineering and helicopter systems and experience in helicopter operations/support.
  • Knowledge of Airworthiness and Flight Safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of the Company Engineering organisation, quality processes, operating procedures and drawing systems.
  • Have an understanding of LSA, publications production and spares provisioning.
  • Interpersonal and written communication skills, the ability to make sound technical assessments/judgements based on knowledge and experience, self-motivated and able to work as part of an integrated team.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
