At Leonardo UK Helicopter Division in Yeovil we are recruiting a Finance Manager FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) to manage the Financial Reporting team, ensuring robust financial governance, insightful performance reporting and effective financial control.
Your impact
Providing management, development and direction to the Financial Reporting team you will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of financial support to the business. You’ll be supporting decision making for the business by delivering accurate and timely group management and statutory reporting, providing analysis and interpretation of financial performance.
What you’ll do as Finance Manager:
- Support the FP&A Financial Controller with leading the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, oversee treasury and cash flow reporting, support external audit requirements, and drive continuous improvement across financial reporting and planning activities.
- Ensure statutory reporting packs, supporting commentary and financial analysis are prepared and submitted accurately and on time in accordance with group reporting requirements.
- Consolidate the analysis of financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, opportunities and variances to support informed business decision-making.
- Ensure treasury reporting complies with Group requirements and lead the preparation and review of monthly and rolling cash flow forecasts.
- Manage and reconcile reporting across Management Accounts, Statutory Accounts and Treasury reporting frameworks, ensuring consistency, accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Support the Capital Investment and Private Venture accountant with governance and reporting including budgets, forecasts and functional approvals.
- Maintain a strong financial control environment, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal policies and governance requirements.
- Support and coordinate the external financial audit process.
- Manage, coach and develop the Financial Reporting team, providing leadership, performance management and professional development support.
- Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders in respect of statutory filings, regulatory submissions, claims and financial reporting requirements.
What you’ll bring:
To succeed in this role you will possess a high level of technical accounting expertise commensurate with a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with sound post-qualification experience within a complex commercial or industrial environment.
You will also need to have:
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience of managing and developing finance personnel.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, governance frameworks, accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to communicate findings effectively.
- Experience of working with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and financial modelling tools.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of treasury management, cash flow forecasting and financial risk management would be advantageous.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimisation and operational excellence.
