Overview
We are seeking a Visualisation Technical Lead to guide the delivery and evolution of our data visualisation products. You will combine leadership in technical design and development with ownership of end-to-end product lifecycle management. You will be the principal authority on visualisation technologies and solutions, ensuring we deliver high-impact, scalable, and future-ready data products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, build, testing, deployment, and maintenance of data visualisation products.
- Ensure robust, secure, performant, and user-centric delivery of visualisation solutions.
- Oversee operational stability and continuous improvement of products in production.
- Serve as the division\’s technical authority for data visualisation tools and practices.
- Define and uphold best practices for visualisation solution design, coding, testing, and deployment within the enterprise data architecture.
- Mentor and support development teams working on visualisation components.
- Act as an intelligent customer to enterprise IT, articulating the team’s technical needs and roadmap priorities to influence data platform and infrastructure decisions.
- Track and evaluate emerging technologies in the visualisation space; lead the adoption of next-generation visualisation techniques and tools.
- Stay aligned with IT on platform developments to ensure visualisation needs are supported by enterprise data infrastructure.
- Own the lifecycle of visualisation products, including upgrades, migrations, and retirements; coordinate cross-product enhancements.
- Develop deprecation plans for legacy tools and drive transitions to newer platforms.
- Work closely with product managers, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to align product delivery with business priorities.
- Communicate technical decisions and product health to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with IT as a key stakeholder in delivering data capabilities that underpin product success.
What You\’ll Bring
- Proven experience leading technical delivery of data visualisation products in a complex environment.
- Expertise in PowerBI, Talend, SAP and Azure.
- Strong background in software development practices including CI/CD, testing, and deployment automation.
- Experience working effectively with enterprise IT teams and influencing shared platform decisions.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management in a technical context.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for staying at the forefront of visualisation trends and innovations.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
