At Leonardo we have an exciting opportunity for an Approved Supplier List/Database (ASL) Support Specialist to join the team at the Edinburgh/Luton site. This role is key to the continuing success of Leonardo Electronics (UK) Procurement and Quality activities. In this role you will collaborate with Procurement, Finance, HSE, Software and Supplier Quality and Individual Project Teams to support Leonardo Electronics new and continued approved supply evaluation activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the ASL database and ensure all suppliers meet the necessary business compliance and quality requirements.
What you will do:
- Review all supplier applications and liaise with all key stakeholders to ensure the correct documentation has been provided and is complete, accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all suppliers on the ASL do not expire on SAP, taking appropriate mitigation measures where required.
- Ensure compliance to AS9100 Revision D with particular emphasis on the documented business Approved Suppliers List maintenance process.
- Support Procurement in the provision of accredited Quality certification for business approved suppliers, from industry standard shared online/portal services (for e.g. JOSCAR & OASIS).
- Create and communicate regular reports on the status of the ASL to key stakeholders, highlighting any risks and opportunities which may arise.
- Review and deliver opportunities for process improvement, with particular focus on data analytics and streamlining current processes and practices.
- Support business risk mitigation, working in collaboration with Supplier Quality colleagues to assist with current and future departmental surveillance plans.
- Support, as required, all ad hoc business and external supply issues.
What we need from you:
- A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Business Management or experience in Defence Electronics or similarly "complex" industry.
- Be able to support and assist in Governance, AS9100 / ISO9001 and Continuous improvement activities.
- Be proficient in producing key Quality/Supply Chain metrics to support the analytical approach to continuous improvement.
- Experience of working within a team environment, providing the appropriate balance of Governance and support.
- Aware of Procurement and Quality disciplines, ideally within the Defence Electronics and Manufacturing industry.
- Awareness of contributing factors, such as regulatory requirements for the External Supply Chain.
- Ability to identify and communicate risks in the External Supply Chain, via tasks in-hand.
- Awareness and understanding of quality auditing, including within the Supply Chain environment.
- Computer literate, ability to use, review and interrogate data held on the management system (SAP). Prepare reports in line with company processes (MS Office etc).
- Communication skills, ability to deliver detailed information to customers at all levels within the business (e.g. attend meetings, present data, issue clear and detailed reports etc).
- Highly skilled in attention to detail and problem solving.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
