Your Impact

At Leonardo UK, you’ll play a key role in shaping the foundations of enterprise‑wide data and analytics capabilities. As part of our growing data function, you’ll be responsible for designing and optimising data structures that enable trusted Business Intelligence, advanced analytics, and informed decision‑making across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, organise and optimise enterprise data models and structures that support scalable Business Intelligence and analytics solutions.
  • Develop and maintain logical and physical data models for modern BI environments, ensuring data is structured for performance, usability and long‑term scalability.
  • Drive semantic and structural consistency across data platforms and systems, enabling accurate reporting and aligned business insights.
  • Work closely with technical teams, data engineers and business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate them into effective data architecture solutions.
  • Ensure data is accessible, reliable and aligned to organisational objectives, supporting both operational reporting and strategic decision‑making.
  • Contribute to the evolution of enterprise data standards, governance practices and modelling frameworks to improve data quality and consistency across the wider ecosystem.
  • Support the delivery of advanced analytics and reporting initiatives by creating data structures that empower insight generation and self‑service BI capabilities.
  • Collaborate across teams to continuously improve the organisation’s data architecture, helping to build a robust and future‑ready analytics environment.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong knowledge of data modelling methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with SQL, ETL processes, data warehousing and Business Intelligence platforms.
  • Familiarity with big‑data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
  • Understanding of data architecture principles and IT service delivery processes.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets to create scalable and effective data models.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities related to data management and integration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Economics or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or postgraduate specialisation in Data Science, Data Analytics, IT Service Management or Business & IT Alignment is considered an asset.
  • Experience in data modelling, data architecture, Business Intelligence or related roles.
  • Experience with data integration techniques and enterprise data management environments.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn (the most important skill).

Security Clearance

This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, including eligibility for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).

Salary

£53,000 – £71,000.
