As a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) professional, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our software products. You will provide independent assurance throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company standards.
Responsibilities of a Software Quality Assurance Engineer:
- Provide independent software assurance support to the development and release of software, verifying compliance with contractual and company standards.
- Create and maintain software quality assurance plans in accordance with contractual conditions and company standards.
- Estimate the resources needed for software quality assurance to support projects.
- Assess subcontracted companies' ability to perform software development to required standards.
- Evaluate projects for compliance with software development plans and processes.
- Participate in software lifecycle reviews.
- Perform software conformity reviews and physical/functional configuration audits.
- Verify the release of deliverable software.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
- Knowledge and practical experience in software quality.
- Education and experience in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related fields, ideally in Defence Electronics or similar complex industries.
- Logical thinking skills, capable of analyzing complex data into actionable insights aligned with business goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across functions.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of standards such as AS9100 / ISO9001 and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience in high-precision manufacturing environments, with a background in airborne software, and familiarity with standards like RTCA/DO-178C, AS9115, and AQAP-2210.
