Overview: Senior Project Manager opportunity in the Advanced Targeting Business, based on site in Edinburgh, within the Integrated Project Team (IPT) delivering material acquisition and assembly activities to support testing and certification.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Lead Project Manager for the project.
- Lead the IPT to ensure all material and resources are available to support assembly activities.
- Manage progress through assembly and testing activities to achieve timely equipment delivery.
- In collaboration with Procurement, pro-actively manage engagement with suppliers to re-risk material deliveries.
- Work with the IPT to ensure an integrated approach to material deliveries.
- Provide updates on key reporting metrics for internal governance.
- Based onsite 3-4 days per week.
What You'll Bring:
- Typically degree qualified in a business or engineering-related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Project Management experience with multiple stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic, well organized, and able to work to tight timescales/deadlines.
- Team player with the ability to support and seek support as needed.
- Effective and flexible communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; strong stakeholder management.
- Pro-active, with a "can do" attitude focused on continuous improvement, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Beneficial: working knowledge of SAP.
- APM / PMP qualification (or working towards a qualification).
Security Clearance: This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls (National Security Vetting) may apply, potentially including eligibility for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
