Your Impact
You will work as a member of the joint venture team within the central functional Governance team. This will include but not be limited to support in writing the policies and procedures related to his/her framework of activity, manage adherence to Supply Chain Governance, Policy and Processes to achieve compliance to customer, product, legal and business requirements. Further to this, you will support the team in the creation of standard template of Terms and Conditions for Contract for all typologies of purchase, in collaboration with all functions involved (Legal, Contracts, Security, Programme etc).
What you will do
- Manage a team of Supply Chain Organisation Governance professionals to ensure alignment with local laws, regulations and legislation requirements, Audits & process confirmation, security guidelines etc.
- Manage the delivery of the Supply Chain process and Procedure writing, including Supply Chain Governance Framework, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the product meets the governance requirements of the joint venture and our Customers.
- Support the joint venture team in the creation of standard template of Terms and Conditions for Contract, in collaboration with all functions involved (Legal, Contracts, Security, Programme etc). Revise template according to legal and/or statutory demands when required.
- Adhering to Supply Chain/Supplier governance such as supplier accreditations and export controls.
- Support the management of functional element of applicable external audits e.g. AS9100.
- Support the delivery of joint venture Audits & Process Confirmations ensuring compliance to procurement policies, procedures, regulations and Legislation requirements.
- Support resolution of ad-hoc Governance queries, including queries from Commercial, Export Control and Legal Teams. This may include Governance dashboards.
- Escalate delays on dependencies for Governance team and internal stakeholders and highlight mitigation options.
- Support and deliver functional training activities/material for the joint venture Supply Chain team.
- Ensure flow down and compliance to Sustainability mandates/strategies within the joint venture Supply Chain team.
What you'll bring
- Extensive Supply Chain/Governance experience.
- Understanding of defence regulations, compliance, and security requirements.
- Experience of integration, setting targets, and co-ordinating activities.
- Experience leading a team and proven ability to motivate direct and virtual teams across the business, externally and internationally.
- Negotiating skills.
- Decision making skills and ability to translate strategy into action creating winning solutions and output for the business.
- An effective communicator, able to manage messages into multiple audiences.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders creating good relationships.
- Expertise in planning, implementing, and optimizing supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in identifying supply chain risks.
Desirable Skills
- Educated to degree level or equivalent titles or high level international Supply Chain Qualifications.
- Experience gained preferably in a high volume, fast-paced aerospace, defence, regulated or manufacturing market.
- Experience working with international partners would be beneficial.
- Experience of working in a complex programme environment, particularly complex development contracts.
- Security Clearance.
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
