Job Purpose

We are seeking a technically skilled Test Engineer to join our dynamic Agile teams, where you will design and automate test cases, collaborate with developers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

  • Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the product and system under test.
  • Design, write, and maintain automated and manual test cases.
  • Execute test plans including scripted, exploratory, regression, and integration testing.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects.

Participate actively in Agile processes like sprint planning and reviews to ensure quality integration.

Evaluate test results, document defects, and report status to the team.

Work Experience

Essential

  • Minimum three years’ experience working as a tester
  • Demonstrable ability to write efficient and effective manual tests
  • A strong interest in the technical side of information technology and software development
  • Working knowledge of Ubuntu or other Linux distributions
  • Use of defect tracking tools (Jira, Xray)
  • Good understanding of API testing
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Basic understanding of Windows infrastructure such as Active Directory, Certificate Services.
  • Comfortable using command line tools
  • Debug / troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • STEM degree or similar equivalent qualifications

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of web security
  • Basic understanding of API automation using python
  • Location
  • Hybrid working (1-2 days Becrypt Head Office/Home Working)
