Job Description:

Location – UK Remote/Hybrid

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Lead the development and implementation of AR&M / Supportability engineering including analysis for complex systems.
  • Carry out ILS activities in accordance with UK and international standards and regulations, such as DEF 00-600, 00-40, 00-42, 00-44 and ASD S3000L.
  • Conduct AR&M analysis to support system engineering processes, influencing design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain an AR&M Case Report.
  • Conduct and manage comprehensive Logistic Support Analysis (LSA)
  • Develop and maintain a Supportability Case Report.
  • Develop maintenance concepts and plans, including Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Through Life Support (TLS) assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and programme management teams to integrate supportability considerations.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports, presentations and documentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support design reviews and customer meetings, by presenting ILS evidence and guidance, ensuring that AR&M and supportability aspects are effectively communicated and addressed.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers within the supportability team.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required

You will preferably have a degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline. You will have industry experience. We are particularly interested in receiving your application if you have experience in any of the following areas:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in applying AR&M methodologies within complex engineering projects.
  • Capable of influencing design and support solution via AR&M and/or supportability analysis.
  • Experience with the following Logistic Support Analysis, techniques, methodology and practices:
    • Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)
    • Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
    • Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
    • Spares Modelling and Analysis
    • Software Support Analysis and Assessment
    • Facilities Analysis and Assessment
    • Package, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T) Analysis
    • Logistic Information Repository (LIR) / Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR)
  • Ability to identify critical dependencies, successfully plan and enact activities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt, perform and explain complex support concepts with confidence.
  • Advanced user of standard Microsoft Office products.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BoM) and understanding of function/physical design schematics.
  • Knowledge of Availability, Reliability, Maintainability and Testability analysis and ability to interpret its information.
  • Proficiency with AR&M analysis tools and techniques, including:
    • Availability Predictions / Modelling
    • Reliability Predictions / Modelling
    • Maintainability Predictions / Modelling
    • Testability Analysis
    • Failure Modes and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
    • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
  • Experience and knowledge of complex electronic systems, particularly with RF being desirable.
  • Experience with the following tools and packages would be beneficial: MS Office packages; Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Raytheon EAGLE, IBM DOORS, OPUS10/SIMLOX, MATLAB/Simulink, JIRA and Python.
