The opportunity
At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a Personnel Security Risk Assurance Co-Ordinator. Leonardo is a global high-tech company and one of the key players in Aerospace, Defence and Security.
Reporting to the Personnel Security Risk Assurance Manager, you will be the focal point for security advice related to Personnel Security and will centrally collate, review and report on Personnel and Physical Security Risk and Threat intelligence for Leonardo sites. You will provide oversight, application and advice on security related policy and procedure with particular focus on the support of Leonardo personnel travelling abroad. Looking after employees’ well-being is a critical component of travel risk management (TRM), you will contribute by collaborating with key stakeholders to identify, document, mitigate and monitor security threats and vulnerabilities related to high risk travel destinations.
This is a rewarding role with exposure across all Leonardo business divisions, the role can be based at any Leonardo site and will require occasional travel.
What you’ll do as a Personnel Security Risk Assurance Co-ordinator
- Support the Risk Assurance Management Team in all Physical, Personnel, Business and Operational security objectives where necessary, in a ‘hands-on’ and flexible style.
- Lead the development of Travel Risk Management Policy and Procedure in line with Business Security strategic objectives and International Standards to ensure best practice. Interpret, implement and monitor controls to maintain effective and robust Travel Security measures.
- Assess, mitigate and approve travel security risks for business travel. Manually monitor travel to countries of elevated risk, ensuring resources are pushed to travelers.
- Monitor travel security alerts and co-ordinate the approach to Travel Security Incident Management response. (This may require out-of-hours support).
- Analyse, monitor, interpret and report on Threat Intelligence relevant to Leonardo sites, employees and assets.
- Develop relationships with travellers to ascertain traveller profiles and itineraries, ensuring the correct level of security support is in place. Provide comprehensive security related advice and guidance to the business. Including delivery of pre-travel briefs and awareness sessions, when necessary.
- Guide and support the Business Security function and wider business on matters relating to Security Threat Intelligence.
- Assist the development of the Threat Intelligence capability and associated mitigations in line with Business Security strategic objectives.
- Liaise and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best use of all travel and threat intelligence sources.
- Contribute proactively to business planning for security to support the delivery of current and
future business.Support all awareness, education and training related to security.
What We Need From You
You really must have
- Experience of interpreting and implementing policy and guidance.
- Experience of building relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage internal and external issues to deliver the business outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent planning and analytical skills.
- Have strong communication skills, both written and spoken and be able to communicate and present at a senior level.
- A genuine interest in security principles.
It would be nice if you had
- Experience in the practical application of security standards (Personnel Security, Physical Security or Travel Security), Travel Risk Management and/or intelligence experience.
- An understanding of ISO 31030.
- Knowledge of security issues, transportation systems, travel tracking and booking tools and operational risks related to international travel.
- Experience in security and geopolitical risks related to business travel.
- Familiarity with major travel security and/or risk management vendors.
- Travel industry experience.
- Experience in the Defence Industry.
