Salary Range: Senior Engineer £45000 - £60000, Principal Engineer £54000 - £70000. Where this vacancy is being recruited across more than one grade, the successful candidate will be appointed to a specific assessed grade, and the applicable salary range will be that associated with the grade of appointment. Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Your impact: Are you interested in working on one of the most critical defence and aerospace projects in the UK? We're looking for someone who is experienced in Software Engineering, Agile and leading a team to join us in one of our key Software delivery teams on the Typhoon Radar. This role is to be the Scrum Master within an established agile delivery team where you'll work alongside the Product Owner as part of the team leadership, helping to grow, coach and nurture a high performing team. You'll report into the Release Train Engineer and help to ensure success across the wider Agile Release Train.

What you’ll bring: We need someone who has experience in a similar role and can bring their knowledge and expertise into the team. We're ideally looking for:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in technical or engineering environments, ideally in aerospace, defence or high-tech environments. Other regulated industries such as Financial Services, Telcos, Pharma and Oil and Gas would also be a good fit.
- Experience working in scaled environments, understanding how multiple Agile teams align and synchronise to deliver value.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent. Knowledge of or certifications in SAFe or other agile scaling frameworks is a plus.
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to handle complicated, regulated environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledgeable of best practises for incremental development.
- Experience of metric driven development.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset is a nice to have.
