We have an excellent opportunity for a Procurement SAP Manager to join the Capability team within the Procurement & Commercial Function of the Electronics Division. The successful candidate will report to the Business Systems Manager. The purpose of this role is to provide functional leadership, governance and assurance for all matters relating to the effective operation, enhancement and future development of SAP used by Procurement & Commercial across all UK sites. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, integrity and continuous improvement of SAP. As a critical enabler of a data‑driven function, the role will focus on governing complex system change, embedding robust processes and controls, and shaping the future state of our digital, data and knowledge management capability across the value chain.

What You Will Do

  • Provide functional ownership and leadership of SAP used across UK Procurement & Commercial.
  • Ensure effective day‑to‑day operation and long‑term health of SAP across all UK operating locations.
  • Continuously assess and optimise SAP capability to streamline processes, improve data quality and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Contribute to the definition and delivery of the UK Business Systems strategy and SAP roadmap.
  • Lead SAP‑related projects within the Business Systems Team, from initial requirements gathering through solution design, change request definition and implementation.
  • Govern complex SAP change through formal change management processes, ensuring system stability, integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Enable the function to become increasingly data‑driven through the development and oversight of SAP‑based reporting and insight solutions.
  • Provide central functional expertise and assurance in support of operational and strategic business requirements.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of SAP training and guidance materials to ensure users have the appropriate level of system capability.
  • Maintain ownership of data quality, integrity and security within SAP to support informed decision‑making.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for SAP system issues, working closely with IT and external partners to resolve risks and minimise disruption.
  • Support Governance teams through the definition and maintenance of SAP‑related processes and controls, using tools such as ProMapp.
  • Promote effective knowledge management through structured documentation.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging SAP technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance SAP capability.

Essential

  • Experience using the SAP S/4HANA platform in a business or functional role.
  • Strong functional expertise in SAP within a Procurement or Supply Chain environment.
  • Experience with SAP Ariba, SRM or other digital sourcing and supplier management platforms.
  • Demonstrable experience of SAP change governance and system lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Procurement, IT and related business functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible way.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience identifying and delivering system and process improvements.
  • Highly IT literate, with a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable and comfortable operating in a complex and changing environment.

Desirable

  • Experience with SAP Ariba, SRM or other digital sourcing and supplier management platforms.
  • Experience using Confluence for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Experience using ProMapp (or similar tools) for process mapping and documentation.
  • Understanding of Procurement & Commercial processes and governance frameworks.
  • Experience working in regulated, audit or compliance‑driven environments.
