Your Impact
In this role you will collaborate with local project teams and the wider Leonardo UK Supplier Quality team to identify, scope and implement tangible improvement opportunities in the supply chain.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving quality performance for strategic suppliers, involving a wide range of components and sub‑assemblies for the defence electronics and manufacturing industry.
- The identification and implementation of IPT improvement opportunities within the external supply chain.
- Ensuring supply chain risks and opportunities are identified, mitigated and exploited as required.
- Ensuring compliance with AS9100 Revision D, with particular emphasis on process adherence.
- The identification and delivery of internal procurement improvement opportunities to support both delivery and cost benefits.
- The implementation of Supplier Failure Review Boards to drive IPT improvement opportunities.
- Support for the implementation of the Supplier Surveillance Plan to maintain a strategic and proactive approach to supply chain management.
- Execution of Special Process Supplier Assessments as per the assessment plan to maintain proactive control of special processes.
- Experience deploying various tools and techniques, including APQP, PPAP, 8D, PFMEA, Lean, 5S, root cause analysis, DMAIC and First Article Verifications.
- Experience working within a project team environment, providing the appropriate balance of governance and support.
- Experience in proactive management of non‑conformance within the external supply chain, including support for special process‑related non‑conformances.
- Support for generic capability reviews in the external supply chain, as required.
- Support for all ad‑hoc procurement and external supply issues, as required.

This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of personnel security controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, including eligibility for Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
