What You’ll Bring
You will contribute to designing and delivering high integrity embedded software solutions while developing your technical skills and collaborating with experienced engineers. Key skills and behaviours include:
- Experience: Around 4 years of embedded software engineering experience in aerospace, defence, or other mission- or safety-critical domains.
- High-Integrity Coding: Ability to develop robust, high-quality software (e.g., RTCA-DO178C) using object-oriented C++ or Ada.
- Collaboration: Work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and learn from senior engineers.
- DevOps Mindset: Interest in automation across build, test, and deployment processes.
- Hands-On Integration: Willingness to work directly with target hardware in lab environments.
- RTOS Development (Desirable): Exposure to real-time embedded applications on Linux or VxWorks RTOS.
- Lifecycle Awareness: Understanding of the software engineering lifecycle—from requirements through delivery.
- Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to best practices.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
